On my manual awd sx4 I had one hand on the wheel and the other on the shifter sor the same effect. Instead of pulling the hand brake, you press more one the long vertical pedal

Honestly clutch kicks are my drift of choice for rwd too. Upgraded brakes meant giving up the handbrake
